Where there is a need to place an item of plant on a road or footpath (eg, mobile crane / concrete pump / other plant) a permit must be obtained from Council.
You must submit the application form below with all supporting documentation at least 2 days prior to the date of the proposed activity to provide time for assessment and processing.
You must ensure that all required documents are submitted with the application so all material can be assessed together.
1. The Permit To Stand Plant Application form (all 5 pages) - please ensure that all writing is legible and all sections are completed thoroughly.
2. A current Police Permit - Notice of Temporary Lane / Road Closure
3. A current copy of Public Liability Insurance - minimum $10,000,000
4. A Traffic Control Plan (TCP) if pedestrian or traffic flow is affected - all TCP's must be prepared by an RTA-accredited Traffic Consultant with their signature, contact details and accreditation number.
5. Credit Card payment details (ensure all writing is legible) or cheque payment if preferred. If payment is to be made by cheque, please state this on the application. When the permit is ready for issue, please provide a cheque to the Customer Service counter.
NOTE: All material must be submitted at least 2 days before the activity to allow time for assessment and processing. Also, please ensure that all documents are provided together, all at one time - if documents are missing the application will not be processed and a fresh application will have to be made.
Once the application has been assessed and approved, and the prescribed fees paid, a permit will be issued. The approved Permit To Stand Plant must remain on-site and produced on demand if required by a Council Officer or Police.
