Dinghy Storage Facility Locations

Council currently has a dinghy storage facility at Rose Bay Park, Tingira Memorial Park, Gibsons Beach Reserve, and Marine Parade.

There is a high demand for dinghy storage within Woollahra and each of our storage facilities has a waiting list. If you are interested in storing a dinghy or water craft in any of our facilities, you may complete the "Dinghy Storage Hire" application form. When a storage place becomes available, you will be notified in writing.

Fees

Applicants can choose from either 1 year or 3 years rental permits.

(note: Fees are updated at the start of each financial year)

The yearly rental of a dinghy storage facility will commence 1 August and conclude 31 July. Regardless of your rental period ie. 1 or 3 years, a new permit sticker will be issued prior to the 31 July each year.

Impounding of Dinghies

Craft that are stored in foreshore areas without Council authorisation will be removed where there is an adverse environmental and recreational impact or where suitable storage facilities are provided.

Craft that are derelict, awaiting repair, abandoned or inappropriately installed in a storage facility will be removed and impounded by Council Rangers in accordance with the Impounding Act 1993.

Vessels without a permit sticker and stored on a facility will also be removed under the Impounding Act 1993.
