Parking is in high demand throughout the Woollahra Municipality. Parking restrictions in accordance with the Australian Road Rules are enforced by Council's Rangers and comprise two types of regulations, statutory and signposted. Statutory restrictions must be adhered to by all motorists in accordance with the Australian Road Rules, whether signposted or not. All signposted restrictions, must also be complied with.
Due to the high demand for parking in many areas of the Woollahra Municipality, Council has introduced Resident Parking schemes which are designed to help residents who have little or no off-street parking. Obtaining a resident parking permit does not guarantee you parking in front of your property.
Please go to the Resident Parking Permits page for more information and the application form.
Council recently resolved to introduce a Resident Visitor Parking Permit scheme. These permits will be available shortly. Please go to the Resident Visitor Parking Permit page for more information and the application form.
There are a number of car parks available to the public in the Woollahra municipality.
