Completed capital works projects

Recently completed projects and other park improvements include:

  • Watsons Bay Baths- refurbishment and upgrade of the Baths including a wheelchair accessible floating pontoon to allow water access.
  • A new fitness station at Christison Park
  • Bellevue Park playground - new playground developed in partnership with Bellevue Hill Public School
  • Drinking Fountains installed at various locations including Gap Park, Robertson Park, Lyne Park and Steyne Park
  • Gap Park improvements including new curved fence and seating with under seat lighting at north Gap Park and Jacob's Ladder lookout areas and signage
  • New energy saving LED lighting installed at Percival Park
  • Trumper Oval fence replaced with new aluminium white picket fence
  • Woollahra Ovals 2 and 3 had new floodlights installed for sports training
  • Lough Playing Fields received turf improvements to improve playing surface
  • Beach ramps constructed at Marine Parade and Camp Cove, Watsons Bay
  • Dunbar Anchor - conservation works undertaken
  • New park furniture rolled out across the municipality
  • Steyne Park and Lough Playing Fields synthetic cricket wicket replacement
  • Major re-turfing of the playing field surface at Lyne Park
  • Extensive renovation of Woollahra Oval 2 and 3, including regrading and re-turfing entire surface and replacement of irrigation heads

Playground upgrades (since 2003) include:

  • Rushcutters Bay Park - new playground constructed
  • Bellevue Park - new playground constructed
  • Thornton Reserve - playground replaced and shade structure installed
  • Cooper Park - playground replaced
  • Trumper Park - playground replaced and fence installed
  • Robertson Park - playground replaced and shade structure installed
  • Cooks Paddock - playground replaced
