Disability

Council has been supporting the direct service provision of ageing and disability services for many years, with the provision of community facilities, direct services, and the allocation of grants and subsidies.  Since the 1960s, Council has provided services for older people, community transport and programs for people with a disability through Woollahra Seniors and Community Centre and the Holdsworth Community Centre and Services.  Council also supports St Vincents Community Health Day Care, Miroma Light Industries and Woollahra Voluntary Community Service (Meals on Wheels).

The newly endorsed Social and Cultural Plan 2008-2013 outlines Woollahra Municipal Council's future planning for services and activities for seniors and people with a disibility.

The role of the Woollahra Access Committee is to improve environmental accessibility and the effective participation of people with a disability within the Woollahra Municipality.
