There are two Early Childhood Centres for parents of babies and young children. Early childhood nurses provide health services for babies and young children, advice to parents on all aspects of child development and parenting. Services include post-natal depression screening and referral, diet assistance and counselling.

These services are provided by South Eastern Sydney Area Health Service, and operate from premises provided by Council.

Early childhood nurses organise new mothers groups regularly for mothers to meet socially and share their experiences.
