Woollahra Small Sculpture Prize

The Woollahra Small Sculpture Prize is the only national prize for sculptures of smaller dimensions and it has attracted strong support from artists, collectors and critics since its inception in 2001.

Each year, from the more than 400 sculptures entered, up to 40 finalists are exhibited for ten days at the historic Redleaf Council Chambers in Double Bay. The free exhibition is launched annually in October and is open to the public. Artist floor talks and a schools program are also presented inconjuction with the exhibition.

All sculptures are under 80 cm in any dimension, with the Prize using eminent judges appointed each year. The Woollahra Small Sculpture Prize totals $13,000 across three award categories:

  • The Woollahra Small Sculpture Prize: an acquisitive award of $10,000 AUD
  • The Special Commendation: a non-acquisitive award of $2,000 AUD
  • The Viewers' Choice: a non-acquisitive award of $1,000 AUD.

Winning sculptures are currently on display to the general public in our historic Redleaf Building.
