The Paddington Art Prize was established by Marlene Antico, Director of Marlene Antico Fine Arts, in 2004. The $20,000 acquisitive prize is awarded annually for a contemporary painting inspired by the Australian landscape.

Each year the wining painting of the Paddington Art Prize is hung in the Council Chamber's Customer Service area.
