You can:

  • Access your account and update your details
  • Request books and other materials in the library catalogue. To borrow these items you will need to confirm your identity by visiting the library and presenting proof of your name and current address.

You can't:

  • Download eAudiobooks and eBooks
  • Download music from Freegal Music
  • Access online services provided to the library from other companies.


Visit the Library. To complete your registration and obtain full access to all Library services including eResources, you will be required to provide identification with proof of current address. We must sight this identification when you visit the library to join.

Examples of suitable identification are:

  • driver's licence
  • electricity / telephone / gas bill or bank statement (plus something with your signature)
  • passport (plus something with your current address)

Your first card is free, with a replacement card cost of $3.60.

Please bring your library card with you when you visit the library.

Types of membership:

  • Adult: For members 16 years old and above.
  • Children: For members up to 15 years of age. You will need an adult (over 18 years) to provide identification and sign the membership form. They will be responsible for any fines incurred or items lost.

Membership expiry:
Your membership expires after three years. Contact the library on 9391 7100 or visit the library; we will renew your membership and revalidate your existing membership card after verifying your contact details.

Reserving and Renewing Online:
By logging onto Member Services you can check your loans and loan history, reserve items that are out on loan to other members and renew any items that you have borrowed without having to come into the library.
