Home Library Service

Are you unable to come to the library because of illness or disability? If so, the Home Library Service may be able to help you.

The Home Library Service Officer selects from a wide range of materials held at Woollahra Library.

In addition to normal print books, we have:

  • Large print and ordinary print books- fiction and non-fiction
  • Material in languages other than English
  • Talking books on tape and CD
  • Magazines
  • Videos
  • DVDs

Let us know what you would like to read and we can choose the right items for you.

Visits are made fortnightly or monthly (depending on what you want) by the Library Courier or a volunteer on a specific delivery day.

Self select / home delivery

The Home Library Service also delivers if you able to get to the library, but are physically unable to carry your books home.

In case of physical disability or difficulties associated with ageing, you may be eligible for our self select / home delivery service.

Library staff will deliver books to your home once or twice a month on an allocated day.

Eligibility for the Home Library Service
