Writers & Readers presents award winning author Drusilla Modjeska discussing her debut novel The Mountain.

This powerful story of love, lust, grief and betrayal during Papua New Guinea’s turbulent history is the first work of fiction by this highly acclaimed writer.

Drusilla Modjeska was born in London in 1946. At twenty, she moved to Papua New Guinea, her years there laying the basis for her enduring interest in the Pacific and in Papua New Guinea in particular.

Fresh from a nationwide tour and appearances at the Sydney Writers’ Festival, don’t miss Drusilla Modjeska in conversation with Geordie Williamson, Chief Literary Critic at The Australian for one special evening. And President of the Woollahra Library Friends, Ross Steele, will introduce his new book My Name is Elizabeth.
