Double Bay Central Library

Storytelling and craft is held in the Junior library every Wednesday afternoon from 3.30pm.

Playgroup is held on alternate Fridays from 10.30am to 11.30am (not during school holidays). Parents/carers and preschool children are invited for stories and fun in Blackburn Gardens.

Paddington Library

Storytelling and film is held every Thursday for all age groups from 3.30pm - 4.00pm.

Toddler (preschool) storytelling and film is held every Friday from 10.30am - 11.00am.

Holdsworth Street Community Centre

Storytelling for carers and babies/toddlers on Tuesday mornings from 10.00am.

These sessions are not held during school holidays.

Summer Reading Club

Get in the Game, Read!

The race is on! Get hold of your Reading Log from Monday 15 December at any of our library branches and begin the challenge to read 20 books by 16 January. Prizes will be awarded to those who keep within the game’s rules. You can also be in the chance to win a $50 book voucher by writing a book review as part of our Book Review Competition!

Games afternoons will also be held along with a Mad Hatters Tea Party to hand out certificates to those who have successfully completed their Reading Log.

Party Hat

Mad Hatters Tea Party

Wear your best hat to a scrumptious afternoon tea on Thursday 22 January at Double Bay Central Library from 3.30pm-4.30pm.

Celebrate with the winners of the book review competition and enjoy a reading from Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland”. Certificates of participation in the Summer Reading Club will also be handed out at the party.

A lucky door prize will be on offer and food and beverages will be served. This is a free event and bookings are essential.
