The Woollahra Library & Information Service is launching a new Children's Program for 2009 which is tailored to the needs of children and young adults of various ages.

Sessions are running at our various library locations and will commence in the first week of school term on Wednesday 28 January 2009.

An outline of the new program is provided below: 

Rhyme Time (for babies aged 0-2)
Rhyme Time combines rhymes, music, singing, board books, puppets and toys to develop early literacy skills. The session is followed by free play time.

Double Bay Central Library:
Fridays 10:30-11:00am

Paddington Library:
Thursdays 10:30-11:00am

Preschool Storytime (for children aged 3-5)
The Preschool Storytime is designed to aid the development of children’s literacy, listening, reading, viewing and drawing skills in preparation for school. Sessions will be complimented by songs, rhymes and craft, and parents will be provided with information and skills on early literacy development.

Double Bay Central Library:
Mondays 10:30-11:00am

Paddington Library:
Fridays 10:30-11:00am

Watsons Bay Library:
Wednesdays 4:00-4:30pm

Children's Book Club (for children aged 8+)
Book Club aims to bring children together in an informal setting and atmosphere to discuss books, suggest new titles for the library to purchase, contribute to a blog and generally have fun!

Double Bay Central Library:
Last Thursday of the month
3:30-4:30pm

Storytelling (babies/toddlers)
This storytelling session is designed for carers with their babies and toddlers.

Holdsworth Community Centre & Services:
Tuesdays from 10:30am
