Woollahra's Environmental Monitoring Database (EMD) is currently being developed.

The EMD will be a used as a central location to enter and store data relating to areas of; water, biodiversity, energy, greenhouse gas emissions, coastline, land and heritage.  Through monitoring environmental indicators within each of these areas Council will be able to review data and identify performance trends in each of these areas.

The database may provide Council with information to:

• make informed environmental decisions when undertaking works and developing management plans,
• establish the success of implemented works and programs, and
  
• identify areas requiring improvement.
