The project culminated in November 2009 with the release of two native fish species (Australian Smelt & Pacific Blue Eye) into Cooper Park Pond to ensure the ongoing health and biodiversity of the area.

The completed works allow the site to be enjoyed and accessed by the whole community and provides a healthier, safer and more manageable environment.
