A Coastal Zone Management Plan is being developed for Woollahra

This plan will bring together a range of research, technical investigations and feedback from the community and other stakeholders, to guide Council's management of the coast.

The Woollahra Coastal Zone Management Plan - Four category areas:

    • Sea level rise
    • Coastal inundation
    • Waves
    • Cliff lines
    • Shoreline
    • Seawall stability
    • Sand erosion and accretion
    • Stormwater
    • Pollutants
    • Litter
    • Flooding
    • Land contamination
    • Creeks/waterways
    • Flora and fauna species
    • Weeds
    • Domestic and feral animals
    • Recreational impact on coastal/marine species
    • Public facilities
    • Public safety
    • Public access to foreshore and beaches
    • Recreational fishing
    • Collection of marine species
    • Recreational impacts on heritage sites and items

The Woollahra Coastal Zone Management Plan (CZMP) is being developed in two stages:

Stage 1

Research and technical investigations, and a community and stakeholder survey.

Stage 2

Additional technical investigations, stakeholder and community consultation, the development of the draft CZMP, public exhibition, submission to the Minister for Planning for certification.
