Strategic Planning Working Party

The Strategic Planning Working Party (SPWP) has been established as an advisory body  to provide direction on major strategic planning projects, including heritage conservation, urban design and environmental planning matters. In particular, the Working Party is providing guidance on the preparation of Council's new Local Environmental Plan (LEP).

The Working Party generally reports to the Urban Planning Committee which then makes recommendations to full Council for a decision however may report to other committees of the Council depending on subject matter. The Working Party is made up of the Mayor and seven Councillors, however all Councillors may attend its meetings.

The Strategic Planning Working Party consists of:

  • Councillor Nicola Grieve
  • Councillor Chris Howe
  • Councillor Andrew Petrie
  • Councillor Ian Plater
  • Councillor Malcolm Young
  • Councillor Toni Zeltzer
  • however all Councillors may attend Working Party meetings
