Equal employment opportunity

Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) is about making sure that workplaces are free from all forms of illegal discrimination and harrassment. This means having policies, procedures and a management plan that are fair and do not disadvantage people. All candidates should be aware of their responsibilities under EEO legislation as questions regarding this may be asked during the interview.

Woollahra Council is committed to providing EEO to all potential and existing employees in relation to their recruitment, promotion, transfer, remuneration and conditions of employment, training and working environment throughout the course of their employment with the Council.

By promoting a non-discriminatory policy, and thereby recognising and encouraging employees on the basis of their individual abilities, aptitudes, qualifications, and skills, Woollahra Council will engender a positive and motivated workforce where employees at all levels are of the highest calibre and potential.
