Council's 2010/11 comprehensive Annual Report has been prepared in accordance with the Integrated Planning and Reporting framework introduced by the Division of Local Government, Department of Premier and Cabinet in 2009.

The specific aims of the Integrated Planning and Reporting framework are to:

• improve integration of various statutory planning and reporting processes undertaken by councils as required by the Local Government Act 1993, Local Government (General) Regulation 2005 and the Division's guidelines
• strengthen councils’ strategic focus
• streamline reporting processes
• ensure that the Local Government Act 1993 and the Integrated Planning and Reporting Guidelines support a strategic and integrated approach to planning and reporting by local councils.

Council is strongly committed to transparency, consultation and accountability. Our comprehensive Annual Report focuses on the implementation of Council's Delivery Program 2009 to 2013 and Operational Plan 2010/11 and incorporates other statutory information that Council is required to report that is important to our community.
