White Tie Event
White Ribbon Day is a national prevention campaign about raising awareness about violence against women. Nationally on the 25th November events are held or people wear white ribbons or wrist bands to swear that they will never remain silent, committee or excuse violence against women.
Woollahra Council, in partnership with Holdsworth Community Centre & Services, Bondi Beach Cottage and Community of Schools in the Eastern Suburbs (CoSiES), will host a White Tie event in support of the White Ribbon Foundation on Thursday 24 November 4.30pm – 6.30pm. The aim of this event is to raise the profile of this campaign, promote local services in the Woollahra area and help raise funds for the White Ribbon Foundation. A local White Ribbon Ambassador will attend the event and give a short presentation.
This event is supported by Woollahra Municipal Council in partnership with Holdsworth Community Centre & Services, Bondi Beach Cottage & CoSiES. For more information and to find out how you can be involved in White Ribbon Day visit the White Ribbon Day website.
