Vaucluse Bowling Club goes BLUE for a cause

On Saturday 19 February 2011, members of the Vaucluse Bowling Club had their monthly sausage sizzle, but this was no ordinary gathering.

Members of the club joined with other bowling clubs in bringing to the attention of members and the community in general, the wonderful work that "Beyondblue" does in the battle against depression, anxiety and other related debilitating illnesses. They also highlighted the important role of carers and heard many great stories of hope and recovery.

Many club members wore blue in support of the cause, and while thoroughly enjoying themselves, raised $250 through meat trays and raffles. This is a small gesture from the members of Vaucluse Bowling Club to support the cause of “Beyondblue”.
