The following was provided by Vaucluse Resident, Ross Clifton.
"I have lived in Hopetoun Avenue, Vaucluse, for many years and to celebrate Neighbour Day on the 28th March 2010 I invited my neighbours to join me for morning tea.
I sent out written invitations two weeks beforehand and as I live alone I asked them to ‘bring a plate’ and join the celebration at my home. Coffee and tea was provided and two guests helped me with the beverages.
It was very pleasant and worthwhile and I believe that twenty to twenty five people is an ideal number, at a home gathering, as it allows everyone to mix and get to know their neighbours."
