Advice on making an objection

Development applications can be complex and confusing, so many people obtain advice and assistance when making an objection. Ways to obtain advice include:

Hiring a consultant

Obtain professional advice for a fee. Town planning consultants, building consultants or solicitors with expertise in town planning will review applications, check them against the council's requirements and prepare submissions on your behalf. Find a professional at Planning Institute of Australia or the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors.

Councillor support

You may approach Woollahra councillors for support, giving them reasons why you believe the application should be modified or refused. It is not appropriate to ask for commitments of support from councillors.
