Planning Proposal for 9A Cooper Park Road, Bellevue Hill

Council is proposing changes to the planning and land management controls that apply to 9A Cooper Park Road, Bellevue Hill. These changes were on public exhibition for comment from 26 April until 31 May 2012.

The planning proposal applies to public land, owned by Council. The Council seeks to amend Woollahra Local Environmental Plan (LEP) 1995 by making the following changes to the planning and land management controls that apply to the land:

  • Rezone land from Zone No. 6 (Open Space Zone) to Zone No. 2(b) (Residential "B" Zone)
  • Apply a floor space ratio of 0.625:1 and a height control of 9.5 metres
  • Reclassify the land from "community land" to "operational land" under the Local Government Act 1993. This will remove restrictions on management of the land, including sale of the land.

Public exhibition

UPC meeting

The proposed rezoning and reclassification will be considered by the Urban Planning Committee on 26 November 2012 (see the report and annexures).
