Residential areas

You may, following the issue of a Complying Development Certificate, erect a satellite dish in a residential area provide it is:

• not greater than 1.5 m in diameter if ground mounted or
• not greater than 650 mm if roof mounted and is
• not associated with a heritage building or item and is
• not land within the foreshore building line

You will need to submit a Development Application if it does not meet the above requirements.

Business zones

You may, following the issue of a Complying Development Certificate, erect a satellite dish in a business zone provide it is:

• not greater than 2.0 m in diameter
• not associated with a heritage building or item and is
• not in a heritage conservation area
